Clinical Skills

Keeping up to date

As part of their healthcare provision, nursing homes have health workers trained and qualified to support people’s specific health care needs.

In addition, some, though not all,  care providers perform basic clinical health care checks -this may  include clinical observations like taking a person’s blood pressure, or checking blood sugar levels in the case of diabetes.

Because of this diverse range of care support on offer, staff need to be aware of how services differ and keep up-to-date with the relevant clinical skills training and qualifications.
